Moonlight Automata

Automata are relatively self-operating machines, or control mechanism designed to automatically follow a sequence of operations, or respond to predetermined instructions.

In this piece, the score of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 14 (also known as the Moonlight Sonata) is transformed into orbital tracks where virtual automata flow from note to note. As the music evolves, so does the moon and its environment, reacting to the automated elements and predefined animations.
